Exciting bar design

BARS made of Soft Concrete is kind to the glasses, it is felt quite clearly when you put them down. Try it at the Berns nightclub next time in Stockholm! The VIP-bar, designed by WAK Architects, has Soft Concrete both on the top and in the fronts. The VIP-bar is 6 meters long. But so long tabletops cannot be made so we made four 1,5 meter pieces and jointed them with silicone in a matching colour. Between the top and the fronts, the architects have included a stainless strip that gives the bar its elegant appearance.

The surface treatment prevents staining

Another difference between the bars at Berns is the resistance to staining. After two years of use, we can see that our surface treatment with a water based coating can protect against the spillage that exists in a public bar – which definitely not is the case for the bars made of ordinary concrete.
