SOFT CONCRETE

Not just grey!

THE COLOUR of the Soft Concrete is achieved by adding inorganic pigments (the same kind that are use in plaster) to a base which contains either a white or a grey cement (or both of them). There are around ten different pigments to choose from. This makes the number of possible combinations enormous. We have chosen about 250 variations that cover the colour range that can be made. But since we have a manual production, and the raw materials come from nature, there are variations from time to time, and that also goes for the colour. Therefore the colour never is exactly the same, even if the recipe is the same.

Many different grey colours

Concrete and colour are normally not associated, and therefore many people choose something grey. We have a range which goes from off-white to anthracite grey. By modifying this range with small additions of other pigments, e.g. blue, red, yellow or green, you can make a lot of different grey shades.

Cement that is not so aggressive

The blue pigment has its own story. Ultramarine pigment cannot be used in ordinary concrete, since it is not resistant to the strong alkali of the cement. But the Soft Concrete contains a special high alumina cement that is not so aggressive, and therefore we can make bright blue products.
