Relief in Soft concreteRELIEF is a wall tile that has been designed by the architect Eva Kai-Larsen. It is primarily intended for public decoration in entrances and similar locations. The tile has a square shape with slanted corners. There is a right and a left version of the tile, and thereby a great number of three dimensional patterns can be created. The tiles are meant to be set tight together. Johans Golv has made Relief sized 150x150 mm, where the thickest part is 18 mm. As our production is manual Relief can be made in other sizes and colours. Eva Kai-Larsen can take on the design job in specific projects. Dining with Relief The Sushi Bar Katana at Kungsholmen in central Stockholm has used the tile Relief in an innovative way. Look how the random orientation of Relief has created a both dramatic and harmonious expression. The flanking pictures are from a luncheon parlor at Skanska. |
